“Is it for me?”

The situations I work with most often.

You don’t need a clear goal to start. It’s enough to know that things can’t go on like this: we’ll bring the rest into focus together.

  • Burnout

When tiredness no longer goes away with rest and work has stopped making sense. We work on what’s draining you, on boundaries and on a way of working you can sustain over time.

  • Career transformation

You’ve lost your job, can’t find one, or what you do no longer feels like you. We line up your values, resources and skills, and choose the next step.

  • Holding your ground at work

Communicating with the people who manage you or the people you manage, standing up for your position, getting out of the feeling that things just happen to you. And, if you lead a team, understanding what kind of leader you are. Inner saboteurs often play a part.

  • Job interviews

Getting ready to say who you are and what you can do, with practice runs and honest feedback. A short programme can be enough.

  • After a loss or a trauma

When an event has interrupted your personal and working life and you need to find the thread again.

  • Homecomings and life changes

Coming back after a long time abroad, a move, a new chapter: moments when the old coordinates no longer hold and the new ones aren’t there yet.

“What if I work in aid and development?”

I know the field, because I’ve worked in it.

Many of the people I work with are, or have been, in the humanitarian and development sector. I spent more than twenty years there: I know what difficult contexts, long missions, coming home and the weight of what you’ve seen mean. I work with aid workers in Italian, English and Spanish, wherever they are.

“How does it work in practice?”

A journey, not a series of sessions.

Every journey is different, but this is usually the rhythm. We decide it together, and change it if we need to.

  1. At the start

    A free conversation

You tell me the situation, I explain how I work and tell you honestly whether I can be useful to you. If coaching isn’t the right road, I’ll say so.

  2. In the first months

    The journey

We usually meet every two weeks. We agree on goals and an initial length.

  3. Then

    What comes next

At the end of the cycle we take stock: we can close, carry on, or meet once a month to consolidate what you’ve built.

“What about the voices holding me back?”

Turning down the voices that hold you back.

Do you know what inner saboteurs are? The Judge, the Controller, the Pleaser, the Avoider… With the Positive Intelligence® method you learn to recognise them, calm them and make room for your inner sage. It’s a programme I use with individuals and with groups.

“Can it be done another way?”

Other forms of coaching.

  • Group coaching

Small groups of people going through a similar phase, such as a change of job. I also work with the ORSC™ method, which considers the whole relationship system: not just the individuals, but what happens between them.

  • Trauma coaching

For people rebuilding after a traumatic event, with an approach that respects each person’s pace.

  • Art coaching

Creativity and emotions as tools for exploring what struggles to come out in words.

  • Online and written coaching

For people who prefer writing, or have little time: part or all of the journey takes place in writing, at your own pace. I’m a certified eCoach.

“What if I have other questions?”

The questions I’m asked most often.

Is coaching therapy?

No, and it doesn’t replace it. If a different need comes up I’ll tell you, and point you to someone who can help.

How long does it last?

We start with a cycle whose length we set together, meeting every two weeks. It’s often extended, and later on the sessions become monthly. We decide together as we go.

Online or in person?

Whichever you prefer. Online from anywhere, in person in L'Aquila.

What language do you work in?

Italian, English or Spanish.

How much does it cost?

It depends on how long the programme lasts and how often we meet: I’ll tell you clearly before you commit to anything.

What if it doesn’t work?

We talk about it. If we realise we’re not the right match, it’s better to say so and stop: that’s part of how I work, and it goes for both of us.

Do you work with anyone?

I don’t take on situations that call for psychiatric or psychotherapeutic care, and I don’t work with perpetrators of violence.

“Where do I begin?”

With a conversation.

Pick a time on the calendar: we get to know each other and work out together whether I can help.
